He would never get a chance to see Lexi, and even if he did, Lexi would have still insisted on getting a divorce.

As Estrella started the car, she offered a comforting thought. “Justice has a way of catching up. There’s no erasing the things you’ve done.” Then she drove Zoey to the hospital and accompanied her up to Lexi’s room.

“Ms. Estrella,” Lexi greeted warmly, attempting to rise from her bed.

Zoey chimed in with a smile, “Nick signed. Estrella says we just need to make a trip city hall to finalize everything.”
