Playing the villain for once, Cole stood his ground against the reunion with Jason. Estrella couldn’t help but find humor in his staunch opposition. She teased, “What about Bryce?”

Cole’s face darkened instantly. “Why must you always involve yourself with the Nelsons? Are they the only men on earth?” His voice grew stern, “And I definitely do not agree with Bryce. If you even mention the name of their cousin Robert, Estrella, believe me, I’ll have words with you.”

Hearing this, Isaac clambered into Estrella’s lap, finding comfort in her embrace.
