Izzy is staring in to nothing and I wonder if she even heard the whole story.

“Were there no written records on the legend?” She asks and I nod my head. I had already pulled the records and put them on the chair next to me. Handing them to her, I ask her why she is interested in it.

She asks if I can keep a huge secret, I can’t even tell my family. “You’re lucky I don’t have a Mate, because I could never keep a secret from my Mate. But I promise you, whatever you tell me, it will stay between us.”

I can tell that my secret is going to be safe with Troy, so I decide to tell him everything.
