Jordan’s POV.

After talking to Julian and Glenn for a while, I decide to go back to my cottage. The only place where I want to be right now.

Once another cottage stood there, but it had burned to he ground a few decades ago. This property had belonged to my Grandparents on my Mother’s side. And after Mother had died, it was handed down to me and my Brother.

Jayce had no interest in it, so he had signed his half over to me. Living with my Father and later living at the Pack–house as a Beta, I never had any use for it.

After the cottage had burned down, I cleared the property up and never looked back.

But three years ago I made the decision to build a new cottage, with in the back of my mind a Mate and pups. But unlike my Grandparents one story cottage, the one I build was a two story cottage.

It was larger in every way, because I want a big family and the space to accommodate them. A large living area and a large kitchen across the hall from it. I had placed an armchair in such a way that I could keep an eye on whoever was in the kitchen.

And from that position I could also look in to the garden, to keep an eye on playing pups. Nero helped me with that idea, he made it clear that he would want to know where our pups would be at all times.

Even though I told him that with our hearing that wasn’t a problem, I indulged him when he kept bringing

I close the door behind me and sit down in the chair, staring out the window.

Izzy’s POV.

I know that Jordan left the party, but I forgot to ask my Father where I could find him. But Evie tells me to head towards the Pack–house, so we can pick up his scent.

It doesn’t take us long to get to the Pack–house and suddenly Evie pushes forward, she has picked up his scent. We follow it along a path, we know leads to an empty property.

We wonder why his scent is leading us this way, why would he go to an empty lot. It has us both puzzled and for a second we contemplate on returning to the Pack–house. “Just a little further.” I say to Evie.
