DARIUS’ POV

The low rumble of the skies and the thunder that followed signaled an incoming rain. At the same time, right behind my head, my demons were chanting, rumbling like the skies. I needed to punch something or someone hard. I needed to have a way to let go of this deadly anger before Nibbles got back home, I don’t want her to see a side of me that’ll make her hate me more. It would kill me to see her running the other way when she finally sees the true Darius Darkwood.

Years ago, I walked out of our relationship and broke the vow I made to protect her till the very end. I get where the hatred was coming from.
