Angela’s POV

The following afternoon I left the pack to see Zack. I’d left Brit in a serious condition. She was still on life support and there was no sign of her waking up soon or getting better. My mom had seen her daughter and she’d almost collapsed.

“Do you want me to come with you, madam?” Azalea asked as I waited by the gates to leave.

“No. I’ll be back as soon as possible. I just need to talk to him and find out the truth about what happened to my sister,”

“I don’t trust him.”

I shrugged. “Me too and that’s why I chose the location to meet him. It’s just ten minutes away from our boundary. I’m sure I’ll be back before you know it,”

He stared at me with worry etched on his face.

The car drove off and within twenty minutes, we were at the restaurant. I waited in the car to see Zack. I shot him a text telling him I was there and he said he was too.
