Silas lifted his head as Ivy entered. His chest squeezed when he saw the shock on her face.

She had to be shocked, he was the one who had fought his way to her room like a savage animal.

He stood up slowly from the bed, training his voice not to sound so pathetic. "I had to see you."

Ivy looked at him. Her green eyes softened and that melted something inside him. He stepped closer and when she didn't flinch, he grabbed her by her waist and pulled her to him.
