Chapter 125: Theresa Stone; End Of A Perfect Marriage.

"Thank you very much." Theresa smiled at the nurse as she took her small bag of medicine.

The instant she left the nurses' station, her smile faded. She wrapped the brown coat around her and walked to the reception where Hector was waiting for her.

"Hey," Hector said, standing up. "How was it?"

She smiled, this time genuinely, as she gestured to the small bag of medicine. “I got."

"Good, now I do hope you use them," Hector said, his brown eyes brightened with a smile.

"I will," she chuckled.

Hector had been talking to her on the phone when she felt a sudden wave rush all over her. Next thing she knew, she was in a plain-looking room, with Hector by her side.

He had brought her flowers, he had made her laugh, and had stayed all through the night, keeping her company. He made her forget everything-well, until now. The thought of being alone twisted her stomach into knots.

As if he read her mind, Hector moved closer to her. "Hey," he said, taking her hand. "You'll be fine."

Theresa was forced to look into those soft eyes, and her nerves disappeared. She nodded, a smile curving on her lips.

"Should I follow you home? Keep you company?" Hector asked, concern filling his tone.

As much as she would love that; to have him to herself for the day, she couldn't do that. He had been with her since and she couldn't keep him away from his work. She knew how important work was.

"I would be fine, Hector. Seriously."

"Are you sure? I could-"

"I am sure, Hector." She interrupted him, placing her hand on his face trying to console him, but instantly regretting it.

Hector looked into her eyes, and her stomach knotted, this time, out of desire. Quickly, she dropped her hand and looked away, hiding the redness that had appeared on her cheeks.

Hector touched her face, the feel of his hand made her gasp. "Mi reina...."

But Theresa nudged it away. "You have work, Hector."

He dropped his hand, not concealing his disappointment. "I would wait until your driver arrives," he said firmly.

She knew she couldn't object, so she nodded, and together, they walked outside. She had sent Victor home last night and had called her own driver this morning.

As soon as they got outside, her green Porsche parked in front of her, and her driver, Rufus, stepped out of the car. "Good morning ma'am."

"Hello Rufus," Theresa greeted and turned to Hector with a small smile. "It's time."

Hector opened the door for her. "Get home safe and call me when you need anything."

"Sure," Theresa slid into the car. "Bye," she waved at him.

"Call me. Bye," Hector said as Rufus drove away.
