Ivy raised a brow. "A deal? Why would I want to do that?"

He adjusted his uncomfortable jacket and stepped forward cautiously.

"I know you're fighting for Cheryl, and I respect that," he began carefully. "The deal is that I won't drag for custody of the child until Cheryl is ready, but you have to pay me."
