Calliope caught her brothers up on everything that had been going on lately.

She told them that the Jewell family wasn't bothering her anymore, and honestly, she couldn't care less about them now.

Especially after finding out she wasn't even their biological child, she felt even more detached from the whole Jewell clan.

Quentin and the others all breathed a collective sigh of relief as she spoke.

Truth be told, they'd all been a little worried she might be too stubborn about it. Even if the Jewells weren't her real family, being with them for so many years, it was only natural to have some feelings left.

They were worried she'd still care.

But thankfully, Calliope was seeing things clearly now.

"If that's how you feel, then we can finally relax," Quentin said, his voice gentle. "Callie, no matter where or when, you're what matters most."

Norton and Julius nodded in complete agreement.

Calliope understood that now, too. She smiled sweetly at them, her heart full, and gave a little nod.

As they sat around the dinner table, her brothers kept piling food onto Calliope's plate-crispy roast chicken, creamy mashed potatoes, buttery green beans-until her plate was overflowing and her heart was warmer than ever.
