Chapter 22:

Belinda cast a fleeting glance at Maggie. “Did Kristopher fail to mention our divorce?”

Maggie’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Wait, you mean you two are going to get a divorce?”

Maggie recalled how Rosie had not only taken up all her time but also pressured her into an extravagant shopping spree that cost her a small fortune.

Fuming silently, Maggie had been waiting for the right moment to confront Belinda, armed with a barrage of cutting remarks.

However, she hadn’t anticipated Belinda’s bombshell. She intended to divorce her brother.

“Yes, I’ve sent Kristopher multiple drafts of the divorce papers, yet he refuses to sign them,” Belinda scoffed, giving Maggie a scornful look. “Instead of wasting your time humiliating me, why don’t you convince your beloved brother to finalize the divorce soon? I have no desire to remain Mrs. Cox.”

With that, Belinda turned away, not sparing Maggie another glance, and walked into the hotel.

Maggie watched her leave, momentarily stunned, then hastily grabbed her phone to call Rosie.
