Kristopher’s eyebrows furrowed as he gazed at her in silence. Belinda found it utterly boring.

She glanced at him with indifference and spoke his name, “Kristopher. Had I not fallen ill and missed our meeting that day, our marriage would have ended long ago.”

“So, you missed the appointment because you didn’t really want the divorce, did you?”
