Chapter 160 Urging Her to Divorce

The dinner party ended in turmoil. Seething with rage, William stormed home. As soon as he stepped into the living room, he swept the glass cups off the table, sending them shattering across the floor.

Vera flinched at the violent outburst. She took a step forward, trying to intervene and calm him down.

But before she could say anything, he backhanded her across the face, the force of the blow sending her crashing to the ground.

"Mom!" Sierra rushed to her side, helping Vera up.

"I'm fine," Vera insisted, offering a shaky smile despite the redness in her eyes. The blow had already caused half of her face to swell.

Sierra's fury burned through her as she glared at William. "If you ever touch my mom again, I will call the police."

"Go ahead, let's see if the police have the guts to arrest me," William snapped, his face burning with rage. "Was today's whole mess part of your plan?"

She let out a bitter laugh. "What plan? If I could manipulate Uncle Theo into doing my bidding, I wouldn't be stuck dealing with you."

His eyes narrowed. He knew she didn't have that kind of power over Theo, but something didn't add up. Why had Theo intervened in her marriage to Benson?
