Chapter 226 The Backlash

Sierra took a deep breath, calming herself before reaching out to stop Madison. "That's enough, Maddy. You won't win against bots."

Madison sent one last scathing reply before looking up. "Bots?"

Sierra nodded, pointing at a few of the most aggressive accounts. "These were all created recently. They've never followed me, but they're attacking me the hardest.

"And then there are a few 'anonymous sources' leaking things about me from campus. Whoever hired these bots is probably someone from campus."

Madison scrolled through the comments again. Now that Sierra mentioned it, the pattern was obvious.

"These people are garbage," she muttered. "Same classmates, but instead of supporting you, they're throwing you under the bus."

Sierra stood up, heading to her closet. As she searched for an outfit, she commented, "I don't know who's behind the bots yet, but Benson's post needs to come down. He has to make a public statement clearing our relationship."

If she let this go, she would never shake the image of being a "cheater" who got in through connections. Even if she won the championship, no one would respect her.

She refused to carry that false reputation any longer.

She was going to confront Benson.
