Chapter 2089 The Formidable Magnus Zelinsky

Chapter 2089

Magnus had been hunched over for ages, scribbling odd patterns on pieces

of paper. He’d often direct Quintus to tweak the helicopter’s path, sometimes

flying so low they almost skimmed the lake’s surface. After nearly thirty

minutes of back–and–forth, just as frustration set in, Magnus finally pieced

together the dozen patterns he’d drawn.

With a satisfied grin, he announced, “Alright, I think I’ve got it. There’s

something hidden deep down in this lake!”

Everyone exchanged surprised glances.

Quintus frowned, skeptical. “Magnus, don’t mess around! Even after dumping

a million carp into the lake, I only see a few here and there. From just these

sightings, how could you figure out where anything’s buried in a big lake?”

Magnus just smirked, circling nine spots on his makeshift map. “Those hidden

supplies? They’re likely in one of these nine areas.”

Everyone was stunned, considering that the search area had dramatically

shrunk if Magnus was right.

Unable to contain her curiosity, Mackenzie asked, “How did you figure this

out?” She admitted to herself that his observation and deduction skills were

far beyond her own.

Still grinning, Magnus explained, “It’s winter, and water temperatures in the

lake vary by depth. Carp tends to sink to warmer, deeper spots to hunker

down for the season. So, when they were tossed into the lake, most dove

straight down. But some, either because they’re more resistant to the cold or

didn’t grab a good spot, rose back up to look for better places. By watching
