Chloe helped Michael up. Ever since their divorce, they had both stayed in the same city and kept running into each other.

She had wanted a clean break, but their social circles overlapped too much, making it impossible to avoid him. She knew this situation wasn't right. Maybe if she left, he would realize his feelings for her were just an illusion, driven by stubbornness rather than genuine affection.

It would give her more time to focus on her life, which would be a win-win situation for both of them.

Turning away, Chloe called out, "Tom, could you help me get him home?"

Tom sighed, got out of the car, and opened the door. "Mr. Shawn, please sit down for a moment."

No sooner had Michael sat down than his stomach churned, and he bolted to the roadside trash can, vomiting violently.

Even in his drunken state, he still tried to keep clean.

But the trash can wasn't exactly convenient, and despite his groggy efforts, he ended up messing up his clothes.

Chloe and Tom stood there, helpless. They watched as Michael began to strip off his clothes on the street.
