I followed Marcus back to Moonhaven Estate in silence. The familiar path felt different tonight, heavy with

unspoken finality.

I knew it was useless to say more about things he had already decided. Marcus’s decisions were final,

Upon reaching the estate, Marcus entered the security code and stepped inside. I followed closely behind
