Chapter 74: The Truth Unveiled

Chapter 74: The Truth Unvelled

(Elena’s POV)

Ignoring Marcus Blackwood’s scorching gaze, I walked towards Deputy Minister Harrison. “Minister Harrison, I never verbally prove my ability to others. Whether to believe it or not is your own choice. Since you choose to trust me, I naturally cannot let you down.”

Deputy Minister Harrison was in a daze for a while, perhaps realizing his previous attitude. He bowed his head in front of everyone. “Healer Elena, I apologize for my previous doubts about you!”

He raised his head again, his expression stern. “You are indeed an excellent healer as Director Baker sald. Oh no, you can be said to be a genius!”

voice carried genuine admiration now. “Your surgical technique was flawless. The precision with which you navigated around those blood vessels… I’ve never seen anything like it.”

I accepted his apology with grace. “Thank you for your trust, Minister Harrison. Your wife’s recovery will be

smooth.”

Deputy Minister Harrison briefly spoke with Sophia Rivers, his tone noticeably cooler than before. Then he accompanied his mate to the Recovery Ward after Joyce Harrison was transferred.

(Sophia Rivers‘ POV)

The atmosphere in the surgical department shifted dramatically. Everyone was praising Elena, completely overshadowing the previous negative rumors about her. It was as if they had never happened.

I watched as Marcus’s gaze remained fixed on Elena, who was surrounded by admirers. My fists clenched involuntarily.

All my efforts to discredit Elena had been in vain because of this successful surgery. The jealousy burned in my chest like acid

“Marcus.” I spoke weakly, forcing vulnerability into my voice. “I misunderstood Elena, it’s all my fault…”

I turned to look at Elena and continued. “I was also thinking about the reputation of the institute. If the surgery failed, everyone would lose their jobs. Fortunately, the surgery was successful, and no major mistake was made.”

Elena coldly looked at me, without saying a word. Her silence was more cutting than any accusation.

Dr. Emily Winters stepped forward, disgust clear in her voice. “Stop pretending. If Healer Elena hadn’t discovered the problem with the anesthesia, the pack enforcement would have been here already!”

A nearby healer inquired about the anesthesia issue. Dr. Mitchell scoffed, his tone dripping with contempt.

“Ask Healer Sophia. She knows very well what happened.”

All eyes turned to me. Marcus frowned, his expression slightly heavy.

My eyes flashed with panic, but I forced myself to remain calm. “I don’t know if you’ve misunderstood
