After a brief chat, I put down my glass and picked up my phone. The noise from the reception was

overwhelming, so I stepped into the corridor to answer the call.

“Alpha,” Amber Stone’s voice came through clearly. I have an update on Elena’s location.”

My grip tightened on the phone. “Tell me,”

“She’s not at Riverstone Medical Center,” Amber reported. “They confirmed she withdrew her application half a month prior. The hospital believed she stayed at her original workplace.”
