Elder Margaret Blackwood and Alexander Blackwood had arrived in Riverside City and checked into the Moonstone Manor for the nanomedicine project. When Marcus and I arrived, we found Professor Andrew Kelly’s research team discussing with Margaret in the spacious private dining chamber.

The chamber was elegantly appointed with crystal chandeliers casting warm light over polished mahogany

furniture. Several researchers sat around the oval table, their papers and tablets scattered across the

surface.

Upon seeing us approach, Margaret greeted us warmly. “Elena, Marcus, you’re here.”

I politely greeted both elders, maintaining my role as a Blackwood family Luna until the mate bond severance

papers were signed. “Good evening, Elder Margaret, Alexander.”

Alexander nodded curtly, his expression as stern as always. The tension between him and Marcus was

palpable even in this formal setting.
