But when he got to Megan’s hospital room, his courage deserted him–Greg just stood outside, suddenly terrified to go in.

Just then, Yolanda opened the door and stepped out. Seeing Greg in that sorry state, she paused for a moment and frowned. “Did you go meet those loan sharks again?”

Greg wanted to say he didn’t, but after all the awful things he’d done to Yolanda, he knew she would never believe him, no matter what he said.
