Chapter 151

“All he’s ever wanted was to get into the Sinclair family, and now that Renee can’t live without him, he just took off like this?” Charles said.

“Yeah, we managed to get his flight info,” one of the staff replied.

“Check with the airport, see if he really boarded,” Charles demanded.

“Already checked. Blake Alston did board the plane,” the staff reported.

Charles rubbed his temples, suspicion gnawing at him–did something serious just pop up for Blake out of the blue?

Just then, May called again.

“Charles, any progress catching him? Blake sure knows how to play games, huh? Pulling a disappearing act just to get us to treat him nicer. And now, with Renee so dependent on him, I bet he’ll be asking for the moon any minute!” May said.

Charles had thought exactly that at first, but now that Blake really was gone, he started to doubt whether it was all just a scheme.

May was still ranting on the phone, and Charles suddenly heard a loud crash coming from upstairs.

“Just get Blake back within half an hour, no matter what it takes. Whatever he asks for, we’ll give it to him,” May urged.

Money’s never been a problem for us anyway.

“Mom, Blake’s already left the country,” Charles said.

May sounded incredulous, almost mocking, “He just left the country? Didn’t bother to say a word to us?”

She’d thought Charles was kidding, but he wouldn’t joke at a moment like this.

May’s voice suddenly took on a worried edge. “So what do we do? Renee only wants Blake.”

Charles sighed, rubbing his temples. “If we really can’t find him, maybe we should get a psychologist over

here.”

There wasn’t much else they could do, anyway.

The Sinclair family wasted no time calling in a psychologist, but as soon as Renee realized Blake wasn’t there, she went wild–screaming, curling up on her bed, hurling pillows, smashing whatever she could grab, and more than once threatening to throw herself out the window. The whole house was thrown into chaos by her breakdown.

May tried to hold her back, but ended up with several scratches on her arm for her trouble.
