Yolanda felt the cool night breeze brushing against her cheeks, and it actually lifted her mood a bit. Realizing Leo was still lurking nearby, she couldn’t help but frown. ‘What’s he still hanging around for?‘ she wondered.

“Leo, what the hell do you want?” Yolanda snapped, unable to hold back her irritation.

‘Seriously, did he really chase me outside in the middle of the night just to throw a few insults? There’s no way it’s just for that,‘ she thought to herself.

Yolanda’s mind was a bit foggy, and Leo’s words made her pause. ‘Wait, does he mean I can do whatever I want right now?‘ The question bounced around in her half–tipsy head, and she just stared at him for a second, not quite sure if she’d heard him right.

Maybe it was the alcohol, but she leaned back, feeling a little dizzy. “Uh… well…”

‘I mean, it all depends on what he actually wants,‘ she thought warily. ‘No way he expects me to help him chase after Joelle Monroe. I would never agree to something like that.’

But before she could even get the words out, Leo couldn’t wait any longer and lunged in to kiss her.

Yolanda had dealt with this twice already, so she instantly slapped her hand over her mouth, stopping him in

his tracks.

Leo just switched targets and started smooching her hand, showering it with a whole bunch of noisy pecks, not bothered in the slightest.

The sound only made Yolanda’s head swim even more, and as she tried to turn away, Leo just got more fired up and eagerly pressed kisses to her neck.

She finally came to her senses and slapped him—hard—right across the face.

She didn’t hold back at all; five bright finger marks bloomed across his cheek.

“Leo, it’s not like there’s some huge grudge between us. Why do you have to humiliate me like this?” Yolanda yelled, her voice trembling with anger.

Leo hung his head, licking the blood off the corner of his mouth. Damn, that hurt.

But what really pissed him off was that he’d taken the slap and still didn’t get a kiss out of it.

Leo scoffed, “Humiliate you? Seriously?”

“A couple kisses on your hand count as humiliation now?”

“Then what do you call all that stuff you do with your little boyfriend?”

Leo pressed his lips together, frustration all over his face. “Yeah, I’m humiliating you. So what? It’s not like you’re choosy about who gets to kiss you anyway! What’s the deal with you and that Maine guy? I heard his girlfriend tearing into you just now.“”
