Isabel was just as surprised when she saw that it was Richie.

She hadn't expected to run into him so soon after they had just parted ways.

And to make it even crazier, they were both reaching for the same pack of candy.

While Isabel was surprised, Richie was feeling a storm of emotions inside.

He had always thought that Isabel reminded him of the little girl from his memories, and now he saw her reaching for the same pack of candy he was after. This brand of candy was the very one Leslie had given him the first time they met.

Though he wasn't particularly fond of sweets, he made a habit of eating one piece of this candy every day.

Each time he did, it felt like Leslie was still alive, still by his side, he just couldn't see her.

After buying the candy, they stood outside the supermarket, taking turns dividing the pieces-one for her, one for him-until there was one piece left over. Jsabel held out the last piece of candy to Richie. "You paid earlier, so this extra one is yours."

The gesture sent another wave of emotions crashing through Richie's heart.
