When Isabel received Kaleb's call, Xander was still by her side.

To prevent any misunderstandings, Isabel immediately hung up without thinking twice.

"Who was it?" Xander glanced at her phone, his gaze darkening slightly.

"Oh, just a call from the telecommunication customer service hotline. They've been bugging me since yesterday about upgrading my plan. They must be trying to hit their targets at the end of the year," Isabel replied and shoved her phone into her pocket. Then, she swiftly changed the subject. "What do you want for dinner?
