As my awe faded, panic started to set in. She is okay, right? She has to be okay... but releasing that much power can't be good for her. The fact that she was even holding it all in couldn't have been healthy.

I ignored the dozens of confused and panicked wolves who were outside. They had probably witnessed the sudden weather switch. They also couldn't have missed the blast of power.

"Jason, you and Micah are on calming the pack members," I mindlinked him as I entered the clinic.

My sole focus was my mate, but that didn't mean that I was about to abandon my pack when they were clearly in a panic.

"On it," they both respond, right before I shut the link with them.

"Get me the doctor on call," I commanded one of the nurses.

"Yes, Alpha," she bowed and then led me to a room before rushing out to get a doctor.

Gently, I laid Sadie on the bed and then took the seat next to the bed. I hold her hand, feeling the softness of it. The bond sparks to life, filling me with warmth. I've never held her hands and now that I have, I don't feel like ever letting go.
