She's quiet for a moment, but I do feel her emotions. A bit of sadness, longing, but also anger and resentment.

"Did you know that she's the one making the hybrids?" I pushed. The more I got her talking, the more information I could get to piece things together.

"How?"

At first, I thought she was inquiring about how Xena was making hybrids. It took me a second to realize she was asking how I found out it was Xena who was making them.

"Remember the hybrid we fought? He spilled a couple of things. It wasn't hard to figure out the rest," I explained before continuing. "Now, did you know?"

She sighs. "I had my suspicions, but I didn't have any evidence linking her to it."

"I don't get it. How is she powerful enough to create a whole new species? We, too, are powerful, but I doubt we could do what she is doing."

"I can't tell you right now, because you are not ready for that conversation or the truth that will be unleashed... and don't be so sure; nothing in this world is impossible."

I wanted so badly to argue with her on the whole 'you are not ready' issue, but I pushed down my irritation. Like I said, I couldn't aggravate her, not when she was talking.
