I approached Asher, turning his chair away from the desk, from the stack of papers begging for his attention. Reluctantly, his eyes turned on me, dark and pleading.

“You’re wrong.” I shook my head, letting my fingers trail over his stubble. “We’re perfect for each other, that’s why were mates. And right now, I’m helping you by making you take a d**n break. Come take a bath with me.”
