As Benjamin and I stepped out of the cabin, we were startled by Madeline’s scream.

I frowned in confusion. But before I could react, the door to Room 2203 swung open.

A half–dressed man, wrapped in a towel, rushed out as though he were running from something.

“Oh, it’s a mixed–race werewolf with human blood! No wonder Madeline screamed like that!”

Hera instantly identified his identity and teased him.

I ignored Hera and focused on Benjamin instead, supporting him as I asked with concern, “Are you sure you’re okay?”
