“It’s fine, as long as she doesn’t overstep. If you guys can ensure she keeps her distance, I can stomach this for an hour or two.” I took a big breath and got my game face on as best as possible. Thane used his calling to help me relax, kissing the top of my head, “Just say the word, and I’ll make them leave.”

Thane and I set the table up, and I could hear Elaine’s voice as Raidon tried to bring her down from coming into the dining room to help, “ Mom! Let Thane and Harlow handle it. I could tell after he said that it made her finally back down. I don’t know what she thought coming in here to help would prove.
