Read Omega’s Possession by Jessica Hall Book 2 Chapter 28 – Raidon POV

Thane was finally heading back from the sanctuary. What might have surprised me a little was that he was bringing Curtis back with him. And here I was, thinking that monster would have been killed by now.

On the bright side, authorities would be waiting when the plane landed to take him into custody. Perhaps that was way better than letting Thane have his revenge.

I understood my mate completely, but ridding the world of a piece of sh*t like Curtis was a short-term pleasure. The guy would be gone, and that’s all. As if he would take the easy way out of the sh*t he had created.

Now, however, Curtis would face the consequences he deserved, even if neither of us would be the one to deliver said consequences. However, he was also the very person we needed to take down the sanctuaries. His testimony would be front page and cause an uproar. Corbin wouldn’t be able to keep him quiet, and it would look even worse knowing the son and brother of the biggest sanctuary owner snitched on them.

“Rhen must have fallen asleep already. I can’t reach him,” Leon announced, pulling me out of my thoughts.

My eyes were still focused on the surveillance screen.

I was about to say something, but out of nowhere, I could smell something that reeked of burning plastic. The stench was so strong that I could taste it in the back of my throat.

Half of the building, if not more, was destroyed completely, yet structurally the building was sound. Everything was covered in soot, and the contents of the lower rooms were destroyed.

Moving the mouse, I clicked on the next video. We had a rough time when the fire first broke out, but now that I tried to see more, I understand that some of the angles for the cameras were terrible. We couldn’t see anything. There were too many blind spots.
