"When have they not made a fuss?" Nicholas retorted.

Kieran was instantly speechless at that.

What Nicholas said was true.

They would undoubtedly cause trouble every year they returned.

After saying that, he looked at Nicholas with concern. "I know you don't take them seriously, but this year is different for you. You have Tessa and Gordon now. The shareholders might do something outrageous to them."

Without a doubt, Kieran's words did make Nicholas realize the seriousness of the matter.

He used to have zero weaknesses, so those people could hold nothing against him no matter how jealous they were of him, but now that he had a wife and children, he had to be wary of them.

At the same time, he felt fed up.

Every year around this time, the shareholders would always cause a commotion like this. Even if they weren't tired of it, he was.

At that thought, his eyes darkened.

After a brief moment, he smirked at a thought. "Don't worry. Since they're bold enough to come back, they will have to surrender to me regardless of their identity!"

Kieran breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing that because he was assured that Nicholas wouldn't let those people be.

"So what are your plans?" He glanced at Nicholas curiously.

Instead of answering his question, Nicholas pulled out a stack of account books.

"These are the account books sent back from abroad. Take them and distribute them to the finance department for auditing."

"No way. Are you asking me to check these bad debts?"

Kieran presented a distressed look on his face as he wasn't willing to take the job.

The shareholders were acting more and more blatantly. He and Nicholas were well aware that the account books handed back from abroad every year were tampered with.

The shareholders even made a huge sum of money abroad, hence there was a big gap between the amount in the account book and the actual income.

It wouldn't be an easy task to calculate the amount from these account books precisely.

Nicholas shot him a cold gaze in response. "Weren't you saying that those shareholders cause a commotion every year? Check these account books and they'll stop."

"Sounds about right. I'll get the finance department to check on them right now."

Kieran immediately returned to his senses and carried the account books with him.

Nicholas reminded him again, "Monitor them and tell them to speed up the audit. Tell them that the company will pay three times the amount for overtime hours."

"Got it."

Kieran nodded and left with the account books.
