Aubrey had sent her a string of text messages.
There were images, videos, and voice messages.
Mikayla opened the pictures. Aubrey had taken them from the lobby of Kylie’s apartment and outside her door.
The videos were also several minutes long. Mikayla played a voice message.
“Kay, I’ve helped you teach that bitch Kylie a lesson! I couldn’t just sit by and watch you get hurt!”
Right after the message finished playing, Michael returned with the milkshakes.
“Miss, here’s your rose vanilla milkshake.”
“Thanks.” Mikayla took the cup and stood. “Sorry, but something came up. I need to go.”
Seeing her tense facial expression, Michael knew better than to ask. He just waved politely and said, “See you at the gym.”
“Sure.”
Mikayla played the video after leaving the milkshake bar and getting in her car.
