Alicia really was a strong and independent woman who loved and valued herself. She was worthy of anyone's pampering for a lifetime!

Feeling sorry for her, Frederick hugged her tightly. No wonder Jeremy would come to their home with a scar-removing ointment! Frederick blamed himself for being an irresponsible husband. At this moment, regret overwhelmed him.

After pinching her pinkish cheeks gently, he leaned down and gave her an adoring, deep kiss.

"Silly! You're so silly! Promise me not to go to dangerous places like this again! Didn't you find it suspicious when you were asked to go to a hotel? If anything happens, call me immediately! Always put your safety first, okay?"

She even stabbed herself with a knife. Was she not afraid of losing her life? Upon thinking that she was so desperate to protect her body while willing to give herself to him, she must have loved him. She would not let anyone touch her but him. Frederick was inexplicably moved. However, her safety and her life were the most important to him, more than anything else.

"Okay! I'll be more careful!" Alicia replied.

After nodding, she curled up in front of his chest. Although staying alive was important, if she were assaulted, she would rather end her life!

Moreover, despite all the twists and turns in their marriage, it was indeed an unforgettable journey for her. No matter what she had felt for him, love or gratitude, one thing she was sure of was that she liked to be with him. She loved the way Frederick hugged her and loved her. Although there were some sad moments, he was the closest to her for the past three years after all.

This feeling was different to her.

Marriage was not easy. People have said that no matter how much a couple loved each other, they would have thought about divorce two-third of the time in their life! Despite that, as long as they cared about each other and there was more laughter than tears, it was a marriage worth holding on to.

Perhaps when they have grown old together, they would realize that it was actually not that bad!

Falling in love was easy. What was hard was to maintain the relationship. Alicia cherished her current life very much. At least for this moment, she had not thought about leaving him.

After knowing what happened on that day thoroughly, Frederick let her go.
