Frederick squinted at Alicia. Obviously, something was bothering her as her expression was unnatural. She seemed to be making choices in her mind.

Alicia started to beg Frederick coquettishly, even pulling and tagging him. She even tried to cover his eyes with her hands.

"Hubby, I could cover your face if you feel embarrassed to carry me. Nobody will recognize you. Could you carry me to the pharmacy, please? The last time you carried me all the way to the hospital, I was already unconscious. I couldn't remember any of your 'love'. Could you do it again so that I could embed this important moment in my memory?" Alicia begged while pulling him gently on the arm. Leaning against him defiantly, Frederick could see her ravishing look. Under the moonlight, her beauty was as picturesque as a painting.

Alicia was so good at convincing. Clearly, she was talking her way in to get Frederick to carry her and she managed to persuade him. She even made him feel over the moon listening to her words. Frederick raised his hand and pinched her on the cheeks.

"So in your words, carrying you would be an act of love. Wouldn't that make not carrying you an act of hatred?"

Who was she deceiving? Since she was also covering his eyes, the onlookers would definitely think they are a bunch of weird people. Plus, wouldn't they stick out like a sore thumb?

Her fallacies were always so refreshing to Frederick. That mouth of hers was like a rose; tempting but with thorns. Her words could be as alluring as honey sometimes while other times, they could provoke one's anger like a volcano eruption.

"Tee-hee! Thank you, Hubby!"

With her sweet voice, Alicia took the initiative to kiss him on the cheek and whisper to Frederick, "Just carry me once, please?"

While getting convinced by Alicia, a scene caught Frederick's eyes. Frederick saw a couple across the road. It was a thin man who was carrying a girl on his back. The woman was obviously larger in size than the man. The man seemed tired of carrying her but every two steps he took, they were giggling. It was a warm scene to watch.

Perhaps, this is love in its most pleasing state! Frederick thought.

Seeing the couple across the road, Frederick felt there wasn't any reason for him not to carry his own wife on his back. Not to mention that Alicia was slimmer than the woman across the road. The man across the street even tried his best even though he could barely carry the woman on his back.

Suddenly, Frederick crouched and said, "Hop on!"
