All Frederick wanted was for Alicia to have a wonderful life. Even if he weren't around anymore, he would still want her to live happily!

Frederick's truest feeling at this instant was that she would live to the fullest at all times. Of course, he did not say this explicitly. Hence, unbeknownst to him, Alicia's thoughts were contrary to Frederick's from the very beginning.

"Don't be so concerned about what people think! Ally, you're both smart and attractive. People will like you. You'll do well and be recognized by everyone."

Alicia chewed hard as she took a bite of beef in her mouth.

"All you do is put labels on me. You're not letting me go, are you? You don't care if I'm happy or not or how much I've suffered," Alicia grumbled inwardly.

Alicia then passed him some beef and a few shrimps, which weren't her favorites, after sending him an exasperated glare. Knowing that he didn't like rice much, she gave him the rest of the buns.

Frederick was pleased to see the difference in her actions. He then donned his disposable gloves and peeled the prawns before dropping them all on her plate.

The meal was simple, but the two ended up eating a lot.

Frederick's plate had almost emptied, and Alicia had only eaten half of her set meal.

Once the two had finished their meal, Frederick pulled Alicia onto his lap and hugged her. "Did anyone give you a hard time?"

Despite his desire for her to fit in the company and establish roots there, he would eventually worry about her. How could he allow anyone to bully her?

Although Alicia was holding her tongue, she didn't feel bullied. Not to mention the fact that what she was facing was trivial, and she hated backbiting too. Plus, she wouldn't be staying long, therefore there was no way she would make a scene. At once, she shook her head.

Brushing her nose, Frederick rubbed his cheek against hers. "I deliberately came to see you today!"
