Knowing that his mother liked Cecilia, Jeremy could picture the whole incident. It was likely that his mother went to look for Cecilia, but bumped into Lindsay instead. Both of them got into an argument, in which Cecilia was definitely inclined to side with his mother. Three of them ended up getting physical, and that was how the accident happened.

Jeremy frowned. He grumbled in his heart but everyone involved was related to him. Cecilia was a guest, and it would be bad for him to express his frustration towards her. It seemed like he couldn't do much but just to accept it now that the incident had already happened. His gaze towards Lindsay was filled with even more guilt and sympathy then. When he was about to say something, the door of the ward was kicked open with a loud "bang".

Shocked, Jeremy stood up and turned around. He was enraged. "Cecilia, what are you doing? This is a hospital!" he shouted.

She took several big strides forward and said, "Brother-in-law, don't be fooled by this woman!"

"Cecilia! Shut up!" Jeremy warned.

For the first time ever, Jeremy scolded her in a cold and harsh tone. He stared at her with his wide eyes and thought that she went overboard that time. He said, "Linds needs to rest. Get out!"

She could not stand such a disgusting woman, and Cecilia was not going to just be falsely accused. She immediately responded angrily, "I will leave once I finish talking!"

Subconsciously, she wanted to reach for something, but as her hand flinched, she recalled that the material was in the bag and was left at home. Thereafter, she thought about something else and scrolled through her cell phone and said,

"Jeremy, I was out for the whole day today and I didn't even touch her! When I got home, she was already quarrelling with Madam York. I don't know whether Madam York pushed her, but one thing I am certain of is that the baby in her belly was already long gone! She lied to you during the last pregnancy checkup!"

Lifting her hand, she shoved her cell phone over and said,

"Do you see this? Last Saturday, she visited at least three hospitals for maternity checkup! This is the diagnosis from one of the hospitals in which I took a photo. If you want to see the detailed information, I will go and send you the reports from all three hospitals! Her miscarriage was not caused by this accident! She didn't tell you because she was afraid that you would get rid of her! I have always doubted her, but I wasn't sure. Now, I finally know why she didn't tell you the truth. She was afraid that once she loses the baby, you would abandon her. She was afraid that Madam York would abandon her. She was afraid that she wouldn't be able to enter the Pitcher family!"
