He was still panting. After taking a breath, Trevor apologized, "I'm sorry, I'm late!"

Following her sight, Trevor saw the clock hanging on the wall. It was exactly ten past twelve!

Trevor felt an indescribable feeling in his heart, and words were lingering in his mouth. However, he couldn't utter even one word. He knew that he had broken his promise! No matter what the reason was, he failed to keep his words! Except for "sorry", he really couldn't find any other words to say. However, he really didn't want to keep repeating that same word.

His heart was full of regret and apologies. Before he could react, Victoria had already pushed him away and walked to the bed. She was not angry, and she did not blame him. However, she did not say anything either. She lifted the quilt and just lay on the bed. When Trevor went after her to the bed, she had already closed her eyes, and she was clearly being cold and was ignoring him.

His lips parted for a while. In the end, he placed the gift on her dressing table.

He felt that he should do something for her, so he turned around and went downstairs. She needed to have noodles on her birthday!

In the kitchen, Trevor made a bowl of noodles for her and fried a few eggs. Then, he picked out the slightly burnt edges, which made it looked slightly better!
