Chapter 1427 Raynee couldn't understand where he got that wound from. In an instant, she frowned and her body went rigid!

She didn't know that her words, the question she asked out of concern, the inquiry she spat out without a doubt, had instantly wiped out Wyatt's flames of passion.

His distracted gaze fell on the wound. It seemed to open a gate in his memory storage as the ravishing sceneries once again flooded his mind. All of a sudden, Wyatt felt that something was amiss. He jumped out of the sofa as if he had seen a ghost. Breathing heavily, he put on his clothes as his heart pounded wildly.

Raynee sat up, her eyes widened, "What's wrong?"

For a moment, she could not comprehend the situation. He was acting too strangely. She could not hide her surprise.

Even though his body had reacted before his mind could comprehend the situation, Wyatt really didn't want to do it. Even after he came back to his senses, he knew that he didn't want to do it, not right then. Every bone and every muscle in his body rejected the idea of it. That was the only thought in his head. Although he had noticed Raynee's distress and the uncomfortable atmosphere, he could not persuade himself into doing it.

Fortunately, his phone rang. It was a lifesaver.

He picked up his phone and walked away. The tense atmosphere seemed to ease up.
