"Did Marc do that so we could be together?" I asked him, beginning to wonder if, after seeing us in the forest, he had put two and two together, and worked out everything that was going on. Was this his way of saying he was okay with it all?

"I have my suspicions." Asher nodded. "But, I won't complain, it means we can have time together, assuming that is what you want. You may want to relax alone. Which, obviously, is fine if you do. If so, please feel free to tell me to piss off." He looked at me concerned.

"Of course it is what I want!" I said, rolling my eyes at him, for even thinking otherwise. "Spending time with you, I mean." I added just to clarify.
