Ruby could see the angry look on Danny’s eyes, so did the rest of four representative there. Lilac was right that she had stirred trouble for herself for talking with her in private, while Aiden did the same thing with alpha Hunter.
The two of them looked like they were having a hidden agenda. Now, when Ruby watched their reaction, she finally realized the severity of what she had done. This was not good.
If Aiden learned about this, he would lash out at her and the relationship between them wouldn’t find any peace at all.
“I- its… its nothing to do with you all,” Ruby said and in her panic, she said something that she shouldn’t have said, because this would only cause trouble for herself. She was really messing things up, she was scared under their scrutinized gaze, as she blurted out the truth. “I was… I apologized for what I have done to her. That’s all! There was nothing shady about it.”
However, the five men didn’t believe her immediately, especially because they took offense for what she said earlier and also the way she behaved. They were full of suspicion when they looked at her.
“Now tell me, what the alpha is talking about with him?” Danny nodded at Aiden, who was still talking with Hunter. The look on his face telling them that whatever conversation that was going on between them, didn’t work on Aiden’s favor, because how angry he was right now.
“I don’t know,” Ruby said, she was shaking her head and then gulped down with so much difficulty. She was born in a small town near the place where the battlefield between the werewolf and the lycan occurred, thus she was not used to be intimidated
like this.
This made her felt suffocated. Her stomach was hurt, as if someone just tightened her
dress.
Danny glared down at her. There was no respect whatsoever from them, they didn’t even see her as the luna of the pack, because the way Aiden treated her, they picked up on that.

However, he had compassion enough to drop this matter and believe this woman knew nothing about Aiden’s affair.
Even them could see Aiden’s sudden act of love was fake, because they had seen how the alpha treated his luna all this time.

Meanwhile, Lilac was also curios about what Hunter was talking about with Aiden, she couldn’t sit still inside the carriage, as she watched the expression of Aiden, the man became even more mad and made with each passing time, as if he was going to tackle Hunter down to the ground and beat him up.
However, Lilac chuckled with that thought, because she was sure, if it came to that, it would be Hunter, who had done it, not the other way around.
More so, Lilac was still curious about what Hunter told Aiden before, about the death of his father, the fact that Aiden killed him during the war. Was that really the fact?
Lilac pursed her lips, bored because there was nothing she could do. Occasionally, she would glance at Ruby, who was standing there looked very lonely and pitiful.
Lilac didn’t know how she was treated in the pack, but surely enough luna Jasmine, or should she call her as the former luna? She would never give her an easy moment, not even when she was pregnant, Iris knew about that because she felt it first hand how perfectionist she was.
Thankfully, after half an hour, Hunter and Aiden finished with their conversation, or should Lilac say it was an argumentation? She couldn’t tell, but then when she saw Hunter went toward the carriage, she immediately emerged and approached him with her beautiful smile, which made the alpha of the lycan grinned as well.
“I don’t know that you are very happy to see me,” Hunter teased her, he leaned over and captured her lips, which took her out of guard because she didn’t expect this sudden movement. Lilac blushed profusely nonetheless, she pushed him lightly away.
“Have you done with your discussion?” she asked, beaming, she wanted to know what they were talking about.
“Now I know why you are very excited,” Hunter said lightly, as he took her back to the carriage again, because there was a certain man, who kept his eyes on her and he didn’t like it if there was someone stared at his mate with such lustful eyes.
Meanwhile, people from the lycan’s pack looked a little bit taken aback too because their alpha acted very differently with his mate. They would never imagine such cruel and cold personally could actually smile so beautifully and treated someone else very well and gentle.
It was not hard to see how precious Lilac was in their alpha’s eyes.
No wonder, Lilac was always confused with the look of fear in their eyes every time Hunter talked with them. They became extremely solemn and respectful.
