The first thing that came into Aiden’s mind when he saw Ruby was bleeding was to come to Hunter’s entourage, he saw it before that he brought a healer with him. More so, it was faster to approach Hunter than to return to his own pack, since it would take at least a day worth of journey.
By the time they arrived at the pack, Aiden didn’t even want to imagine what could happen to his child and… Ruby. He was scared if he was being honest with himself.
After all, he was wrecked by guilty feeling, since he realized it was his action that caused this. Even though he was too proud to admit it and was still dislike the baby and the woman, who carried his child, since it was not Lilac.
“Can you let the healer to see my mate?” Aiden said, he tried to act calm, but the sound of Ruby was crying was really disturbing.
Aiden explained everything to Hunter and literally ask for his help, despite how heated their conversation earlier and how he had cursed the alpha, but he didn’t have any other choice, or else, he was going to lose his firstborn.

If Hunter were in Aiden’s shoes, he wouldn’t even bring Lilac at all, since this long journey could be very tiring for a pregnant woman.
Ever since the beginning, Ruby came along for a guise so Aiden could ask for Hunter to bring Lilac, who would have thought that not even Aiden could talk with Lilac, but the woman didn’t even care about his existence. He held no significant in her eyes.
“How will you pay me for this favor?” Hunter asked with a smirk. He couldn’t care less about the pregnant woman inside the carriage. If he could take benefit from this, so be it. After all, that woman was not his responsibility.

“Alpha Hunter! Don’t you think you are being too much for asking such thing at time like this?!” he roared angrily, though there was nothing for him to be angry about, since it was not even his business to begin with.
However, the five other representative from different pack had been very dissatisfied with the way Aiden handled thing, more so they could hear their fighting before all of this happened.
For Aiden to ask for a favor from the alpha lycan, it would put them into disadvantage and it was proven now. The alpha asked for more because he knew he could provide the help that Aiden needed.
“If you want to find someone to be blamed, blame him, because it was not me, who forgot to bring a healer on a long journey with a pregnant
woman,” Hunter replied curtly. “If there is no benefit for me whatsoever, you will only waste my time.”
Hunter turned around and left Aiden and the rest of the people-dry, because he didn’t want to deal with them and wanted to go back to his pack as soon as possible.
No, actually, Hunter only wanted to return to the carriage because Lilac was there and indulge himself with his luna.
The coachmen must have a hard time to control the carriage, since it was shaking so badly earlier. Not to mention the smell of his after lovemaking, people could tell what was going on inside the carriage.

“Hunter, is that alright?” Lilac asked. She looked worried. She disliked the two of them for causing her so much pain of the betrayal, but then they were talking about an innocent baby and someone’s life.
No matter how Lilac despised them so much, there was no way, she would let her hatred ran so wild and caused the life of two people.
