I stand as Elder Thomas looks at Neal and then Amelia. “Elder Thomas and Elder James thank you for coming.” “Alpha Lincoln explain yourself” Elder Thomas says with anger in his voice. Elder James just stays quiet. “Please have a seat and we will explain everything.” “It better be one hell of an explanation when you have the Darkmoon Luna and Beta sitting in your office.” “I am not the Darkmoon Luna and I never will be” Amelia says with all the venom she can muster. In Chapter 16 of the Betrayed by My Beta Mate series, Atlas goes to his office, ensuring no one sees him. He brings Freya's body to Elias's office and lays her on the floor. He inflicts several stab wounds on Elias's chest at Freya's height and places a dagger in one of the wounds to make it appear as if Freya stabbed him. Atlas and Freya are both covered in blood. Soon, warriors burst into the room, and Atlas pretends to be shocked and distressed. He claims that Freya killed his brother and expresses his disbelief and devastation. The head warrior, Neil, consoles Atlas and tells him that the pack needs him to be strong as he is now the Alpha. Meanwhile, Amelia, in her point of view, drives away from the pack after discovering Atlas's infidelity. She plans to find a safe place in a human city, away from wolf packs, to protect herself and her unborn pup. Amelia calls her mother to explain what happened and assures her that she loves her and her father. She finds a hotel in a human city and takes some time to rest. Meanwhile, Atlas visits Amelia's parents to find out where she went but faces their anger and disbelief. He promises them that he never betrayed Amelia and vows to find her and make her understand the truth. Atlas returns to the pack house, determined to use all available resources to locate Amelia and bring her back.
