Chapter 22

After leaving Olivia’s place, Amelia was left in a trance, and in the end, she could not help but make a call to her younger sister, Maddie.

After listening to her sister’s foolishness, Maddie was speechless. “There isn’t even an indication at all. Why did you ask her about that? It is possible that Olivia may start to have feelings for Ethan now that you told her that.”

“Then what should I do?” Amelia was getting nervous. She still

remembered Emma, who held on to the corner of Ethan’s coat even when she was unconscious in the hospital.

Since childhood, Emma liked Ethan, and it had been going on for more than ten years. Initially, it was a surefire that the two of them would get married, but then Olivia suddenly showed up.

At yesterday’s dinner party, Ethan looked at Olivia in an unbearable way, even to Amelia, let alone Emma.

Those eyes were clearly the precursor of a man’s feelings for a woman. If it weren’t for Ethan’s apparent signs and Emma’s passing out because of it, Amelia would not have had to go straight to Olivia and tell her not to get involved in their relationship.

“Amelia.” Maddie interrupted Amelia. “Let’s put this aside for a moment. There is a matter on my side that I need to ask you about.”

Hearing the sudden seriousness coming from her sister’s tone, Amelia became nervous. “What happened?”

“Amelia, you must tell me the truth.” Maddie’s tone had a bad vibe, and she even sounded a bit impulsive. “Did you have a meal with my husband half a month ago?”

“Yes.” Amelia nodded. They stumbled across each other, so they ended up having lunch together.

“Amelia, we all need to have a sense of boundaries. Why are you trying to steal your little sister’s husband?”

“What are you talking about? Where is all this nonsense coming from?” Amelia was anxious and angry, as if she could not wait to beat up the person on the other end of the phone. “How can you think of me like this? I am your sister.”

She began to breathe excessively, and her eyes were red with anger.
