In the stillness of his office, Alex leaned back in his chair, his mind swirling with Nathan’s words and his own turbulent thoughts. The room felt unusually quiet, a stark contrast to the chaos within him.

“Why can’t it be connected to Emma?” Alex murmured, staring out the window. He grappled with the possibility, however remote, that Emma could have played a pivotal role in his past, unbeknownst to

him.

Nathan, pacing back and forth, struggled to process Alex’s suggestion. “You’re not making sense, Alex. Think about it logically. You met Emma much later. This… this idea of her saving you is just….. it’s just implausible!”
