Sonia shrugged when Toby rejected her offer to help. “Okay then. I’ll help you with your luggage,” she offered.

When she got there, she found Tom squatting on the ground with two huge luggages in front of him. He had opened both the luggages, but he was squatting in front of them without moving. He looked like he was contemplating something.
