She sat at her desk until 10:30 at night, yawned, closed her laptop, and got up, planning to go back to her bedroom to take a shower and go to bed.

Just as she stood up and turned around, she saw through the floor–to- ceiling window behind the desk that the villa right across from the study, which hadn’t had its lights on for a long time, had its lights on tonight.

She walked to the window and stared at the villa.

She didn’t know why, but she actually had this feeling of being watched.
