Chapter 762

Margaret had been out cold for a solid three days and nights.

Waking up felt surreal.

In her dreams, she had come to terms with the grim fate that had befallen Nick and Theresa.

Yet, bizarrely enough, she still saw them.

She could touch Theresa and Nick, feel their skin against hers, though it was cool to the touch.

She asked Nick, "Why are we together? And where are we heading now? Home?"

Nick offered no reply, only a smile, but Theresa, ever the spirited one, chimed in, "Mommy, we're off to heaven!"

"Heaven?" Margaret looked around at the misty surroundings, unable to discern any direction. "How did you find me?"

"Our souls were floating in the air, then we saw you standing all alone on the ground. You looked so lonely, and I didn't want you to be by yourself. So, daddy and I thought we'd take you with us."

Margaret found it hard to believe, even more, incredible.

But what did it matter whether it was reality or a dream? As long as she was with her loved ones, why fuss over the details?

"Don't dilly-dally, Mommy. I hear there's a queue to get into heaven! We've got to get moving!"

With that, Margaret felt herself becoming lighter.
