Chapter 230

Chapter 230

Bradley POV

I leaned on the door for a long time, filling my lungs with her smell. She was all I wanted and I had already started on how to go about it. Morelli had to come down. But I knew that I had to be extremely quiet about it. And I needed help from my father, Alpha Lucien. There was a week’s time for the next Luna trial, and in that much time, I was going to cause mayhem, but quietly.

The night was quiet, and the pack lights shimmered as I sat in my office contemplating Morelli’s empire’s dealings. The mafia boss’s tentacles reached deep into the underground world. He ran casinos where he laundered millions in dirty money. It was time to bring his house of cards crashing down. Father had agreed to help, and Beta Tarian, was overseeing the operation in the human world.

I leaned back in my chair, staring at the files on my desk as father studied the files in front of him. In the last few days, we had gathered enough intel to know that Morelli’s casinos weren’t just for fun and games. The whole thing was a front for his money–laundering operations. It was clever, but not clever enough for us.

My father was a strategic mastermind. Having known humans for a very long time, he understood the complex of the underground world. He knew exactly how to take it apart without leaving any trace because he had a lot of contacts in that world, starting from politicians to a small–town schoolteacher. He instructed Tarian to dig through Morelli’s casino’s financial records. And that’s where Tarian found the missing link–the mule accounts where the dirty money was flowing through.

But the question was how to take Morelli down without tipping him off.

I had a plan in mind, but I needed to make sure it worked. It was risky, but it was the only way to hit him where it hurt most–his wallet. If we could shut down his casino operations, we could cut off his income. Without that, he’d be vulnerable, and that would be the opening we needed.

“Bradley, are you sure about this?” Tarian’s voice crackled over the phone, bringing me back from my thoughts.

“I’m sure, Beta Tarian,” I replied, rubbing my temples. “We’ve got everything in place. We just need to move fast and hit him hard. If we do this right, he won’t even know what hit him.”

“You’ll have to be careful,” Tarian warned. “The casino’s security is tight, and if Morelli catches wind of this, he’ll retaliate. We need to be smart.”

“I know. That’s why we’re going undercover,” I said, a hint of a smile tugging at my lips. “I’ve got a few ideas.”

The plan was simple but effective. We would infiltrate Morelli’s operation by posing as high–rolling gamblers looking to launder some of our own money.
