The next few days were filled with information gathering and covert action. Tarian used his human connections to trace Morelli’s supply chain, while used the resources of the pack in order to dig deeper into the businesses Morelli was using as fronts.

Our wolves had a way of sniffing out secrets, and we weren’t about to let this one slip away.

As we got closer to the information we needed, Tarian and I set up a meeting in a small café in the hurman town. It was a nondescript place where people didn’t question the occasional shady deal. I had never liked hiding in the shadows, but sometimes it was necessary.

Tarian was already there when I arrived, sitting at a corner table with a tall man dressed in dark clothes. The man was nervous, constantly glancing over his shoulder.
